After seeing
Elizabeth's little chipmunks the other week, I decided I would try to make my own version of a squirrel to go with them. I'm not great at making things without a pattern though, so my first attempt isn't as good as I would have hoped.
Somehow he reminds me more of a kangaroo...probably because I've never seen a live squirrel but am surrounded by marsupial wildlife. Oh well.
I'll need to work on perfecting him and writing up the pattern... but I really am sick of working on squirrel heads!

I think he looks gorgeous! You've done a fantastic job! And I think he looks like a squirrel :)
I agree with Renee, you did a fantastic job!! It is a gorgeous little squirrel, what will you name him?
It's funny, I had a dream a couple of weeks ago, where I was watching the news, and the announcer was reading some serious story, but the footage showing was a mum squirrel with two baby squirrels on its back, prancing around in front of the camera! Ever since then I seem to be seeing squirrels all over the places!
I would like to consider donating some money on one of the months this year to the Capricorn Animal Aid, and would love it if you could send me a pamphlet.
I am wondering if perhaps this first month I might donate the money I raise this month to Haiti though...
Ah that is such a sweet squirrel! I am practising my sewing skills at the moment and you have inspired me to make a little stuffed animal of my own. Perhaps a bunny!
Oh it's so SO cute! How you can create such darling things EVEN WITH a pattern is beyond me...I do not have a clue how to follow a pattern, or how to figure out the mechanics of a little creature...ADORABLE! Thanks for sharing!
oh but he is LOVELY! I hope you post a tut on him.
