This weeks challenge was birds, and I've shown 2 to combine, but I have soooooo many more! I've been downloading favourites to my flickr account, so if you'd like to see some more bird shots, go here.

Ugly Fat 1/4 Not!

Isn't it incredible how one person can look at something and see nothing, and another person can look at it and see everything? I think that may have happened to both Christine and I when we did our ugly fat 1/4 swap!
Firstly, I'd like to thank Jenny and Fiona for such an unusual and fun blog swap! The idea was to send a fat quarter that you just couldn't seem to use, along with some buttons and trim, to your partner. They then added a fat quarter of their own, and made it all up into something beautiful! Kind of like the Ugly Duckling story!
So Christine sent this to me -And I sent this to Christine -This is what I made for her using her ugly fat 1/4 -And this is what she made for me using mine!!! -A gorgeous thread catcher with pincushion and a drawstring bag, both of which will be used till they're ragged! The thread catcher is reversible! How cool is that? Oh Christine, how could you know me so well when we haven't even met?! I love them, thank you a million times!!!

Click here to go learn more about them.Note these guys are venomous but are considered not dangerous to humans. In fact, they're really quite sweet!

Snappy Friends Weekly Challenge - Insects

A big thanks to Lisa for introducing me to this blog through hers! I'm talking about Snappy Friends! Their concept -

This is a place for a group a bloggy friends who love to take photographs.
Topics are varied but all taken throughout Australia.

And they have weekly challenges! You all must know I love my camera and everything nature. So I am totally in!

This weeks challenge - Insects

Hoppy Eggster!

Honestly, I don't get around to doing too much Easter crafting. This holiday just seems to come and go so quickly and without warning for me! But seeing my wonderful friend Elizabeth's Easter Garland Along, I just had to make myself a bunny, chic and bluebird too.

Now I started with the bunny and he turned out so wonderfully I couldn't bring myself to stick a thread through his head. So I gave him a little basket with his very own bluebird. He is so cute sitting on my tabletop along with this sweet little chic ornament I bought and cake and plate that I made from clay. The bluebird I made second, and she's just the sweetest little thing! I love how she turned out looking as if she's really flying!Last came my little chick, who I have to admit is quite a sweetheart with his smiling beak and flapping wings. His little feet are pretty adorable too! They seem to make a happy little bunch sitting and hanging on my bookshelf of awesomness!
