Walk in the Garden

Finally! It's stopped raining! After almost two weeks!! Now I can go for a walk and see what's going on around the house.

My succulents are in bloom! This is one of my many huernia schneideriana in flower. If you click the picture and make it bigger, you'll notice all the little spots are actually tiny teeny hairs! This one's called huernia aspera, I have two pots of it now! The flowers usually point downward but I've picked it up for the photo. It has what look like teeth inside! One of my favourites, of which I also have two pots, is huernia zebrina. The flowers are amazing and last for days!I'm also looking forward to my stapelia gigantea, stapelia leendertziae and stapelia grandiflora (not pictured) buds opening! One of my bromiliads is in flower! They're such interesting and amazing plants.Look what's growing on a wooden garden stake after all that rain! The grapes are ripening and getting bigger too.I better get some netting on before the birds eat them. Thanks for taking a stroll with me!

Your garden looks very colourful. We've had a bit of rain here too and my vegies are growing well. We've started eating the lettuce, snowpeas and zucchini. I think zucchini slice is in order next week! Hugs, Christine

Oh, and we've finally got apples growing for the first time on the tree that we planted years ago!

Great shots of your succulents' flowers. They are all so amazing! Everything is growing like mad with all this wet weather.
