Remember that song from Play School? So I was driving past houses the other day, and noticed the most gorgeous quilt hanging on someones clothesline. Too pretty, I just had to take a snap and share it!
Remember that song from Play School?
He's been with me for almost a month now, but with my being so sick I thought I'd leave the formal introductions until he was settled in and I was feeling better.
Well he's very happily settled in now! He sleeps with Jasper under a flannelette blanket every night, enjoys going for car rides, to church every week, and for walks with the dog.
He loves head-bobbing the girls, it's so cute and funny to watch!
He's such a sweetheart, I'm just smitten with him and so is everyone else!
Thanks goes to Bec, his former owner, for giving me the most beautiful CBD boy evah!

Such gorgeous happy birds, we as a country are so lucky to have them as natives! They go home on Sunday, I am going to miss them.
I kept him overnight, and took him to the vets the next day, where they ascertained he was probably hit by a car and just stunned. So we drove him back to near where he was found (the university grounds) and released him.
He was so happy to be free again!!
So we brought "Sunny" home and not a day later got the call that they'd found the owner. We gladly let the woman come over to pick up the bird, who's actual name is Sunshine!! Good guess huh?
ANZAC Day goes beyond the anniversary of the landing on Gallipoli in 1915. It is the day we remember all Australians who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. The spirit of ANZAC, with its human qualities of courage, mateship, and sacrifice, continues to have meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity.
On ANZAC day, ceremonies are held in towns and cities across the nation, across the world where our Aussie men and women have fallen, to acknowledge the service of our veterans. Today was especially moving as we in Queensland mourn the recent loss of six soldiers in Afghanistan.
