I've been going through the doodle stitching flickr group and have been inspired to do some of my own drawings in embroidery. So just as I'm getting into it, I run out of nice bold/bright coloured threads!
So now I have to wait until it's my turn to use the car. And I really just want to keep stitching. I must learn to do ladder stitch. I have books and instructions on stitching and embroidery, but have never bothered to read them to find out how, I've only looked at pictures for inspiration.
What's been done has happened without any considerable thinking, while watching that kids show "Jane and the Dragon," and I'm very happy with what I have so far! So here's my first WIP for this year!

Wow! You are so talented! I was just thinking last weekend about how I would really like to learn to embroider. Little embroidered birds are so precious. After checking out your blog, I'm even more inspired!
