embroidered sunflower

Yes, that's right! An embroidered sunflower. I simply drew it on with led pencil, then stitched the stem and leaves.Ahh but I want something a little different! French knots (is that what they're called??) fill the center and satin stitched petals complete the look.Yes, very happy! Hmmm, but what to do with this one? Any Ideas?

Sunflower is on one of my fave blooms! Maybe you can incorporate this lovely stitchery for a throw pillow perhaps? It would look lovely in a quilt too. :)

Or make more for a wallhanging ? It's beautifully done .

Lovely. I see it framed on a pillow with pretty complimentary fabrics around each side.

Very pretty. Why not make it into a scented sachet! Oh - am I a bit obsessed with scented sachets at the moment? OK, well you could make it into a sweet little bag for putting hankerchiefs or similar into.

love your embroidered sunsflower! you picked the PERFECT stitches for it (and yes, they are French knots).

I kind of like the little bag idea. Keep us posted with what you decide. :)

You did such a nice job on these. You could do anything with them...maybe a kitchen towel, pot holder, framed picture, or center piece to table cloth??
