A bit Fruit Batty...

Seeing all the beautiful Summer fruit leave the grocery store is so sad... Goodbye to lychee's and mangoes and raspberries and cherries! But then again, Hellooooo to passion fruit and pineapples and mandarins and those beautiful but mostly unknown dragon fruit!!

For the first time this year, I saw kiwi fruit being sold in the fresh produce section of the supermarket! Of course, they're way to expensive and simply too sour at this time of Autumn, but not being able to wait, the moment I got home and had time to spare, I stitched up a few slices!I didn't make a pattern, but if there's enough interest...say 10 requests...then I'll put one together and post it for you! Maybe I should do a whole bowl of felt fruit!

By the way, we weren't caught up in the south-east Queensland flood disaster! We were lucky that it simply rained a day and night before sweeping over us. As it travelled further south, it got worse. We had some lightening and thunder this arvo but nothing too drastic!

Amanda, I love when you stop by. It reminds me to check in on Australia and get my Wild Kingdom fill! That is what I love most about your blog. Not to mention the cute things that you make! Be sure to scroll to older posts to find a free pattern for the cutest owl. It's green! I love your green kiwi! Have a lovely autumn! E
