It has (luckily) peaked at only around 8 meters, but that still means a bit of a clean up once it's gone down.

Oh well. Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without some monsoonal rains and ear-splitting thunder storms, with a few cyclones mixed in for good measure.
Cut some thread (I used gray DMC I had lying around) to your preferred length and tie a decent sized knot in one end. Then, using a sturdy, sharp needle, start stringing your gum nuts.
To get the effect, I pushed the needle out at different intervals, not just through the very top.
Take it outside and lay the strung gum nuts on the newspaper.
Spray Paint!
Allow it to dry then turn over and spray again.
Voila! An Aussie Gum Nutty Garland.
The Guide Dog tea towel was $1, the Harry Potter writing set only 50 cents!
The squirrel mold, vintage jewelery and vintage ceramic shell plate stamped "Japan" only 50 cents each!
The gorgeous ceramic house planter with owl on top was only 50 cents and the little turtle egg cup 20 cents. The beautiful salt and pepper shakers were $1 for the set, as was the little tea-set-on-table trinket box. All are stamped "Japan" underneath.
The gorgeous handmade silk ribbon Christmas ornament was only 50 cents too!!
Pictured is the Owl pillow from my last post, one of her wonderful stationery folders, a gorgeous bag featuring a lion and lamb stitchery I did awhile ago, two kitty cat doorstops that need to be filled, and two quilts using stitcheries I've embroidered.
Isn't it just gorgeous!!? So much nicer in person, the rainy weather doesn't allow a better picture.

He's a corner wall shelf!!! I can't wait to put him up somewhere in my room!! I'm planning on displaying some of my (but of course!) owls on him. What do you think?

This one's called huernia aspera, I have two pots of it now! The flowers usually point downward but I've picked it up for the photo. It has what look like teeth inside!
One of my favourites, of which I also have two pots, is huernia zebrina. The flowers are amazing and last for days!
I'm also looking forward to my stapelia gigantea, stapelia leendertziae and stapelia grandiflora (not pictured) buds opening!
One of my bromiliads is in flower! They're such interesting and amazing plants.
Look what's growing on a wooden garden stake after all that rain!
The grapes are ripening and getting bigger too.

I've actually made two wreaths this year, the other one is plain dark green and is decorated with flower bling.
I'm sure I'll change it all again (for the 100th time) and try and make one or the other better, but for now I'm happy with them.
